Sylvia started at AOE while completing her Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Tulsa, where she is also continuing to pursue her Ph.D. Her area of expertise lies primarily in motivation; however, she has experience with a broad rang of topics within business psychology and statistics.
Sylvia’s passion for research began as an undergraduate at Miami University, where she co-founded an undergraduate research journal with her advisor and 13 peers. When graduating from Miami in 2014, Sylvia was recognized as one of the 21 most influential graduates in terms of leadership and intellectual contribution. Since then, Sylvia has continued to display strong leadership skills in and out of her doctorate program through managing her research lab, serving on multiple program committees, and acting as a mentor to both graduate and undergraduate students.
