Warren Dyer, Ph.D.

Chief Visionary Officer

He led oilfield operations in Mexico, Venezuela, and Colombia; and held a number of senior positions (e.g., Directional Drilling Coordinator, Country Manager) for blue chip companies before becoming President/CEO of United Diamond and then CEO of Ulterra. Warren was instrumental in doubling annual sales for both firms, ultimately leading them to a successful liquidity event. As an entrepreneur and self-starter, Warren has also engaged in several green-field investments, effectively developing them by focusing on employee-driven innovation. Warren’s legacy to the AOE Group is critical as he excelled in developing a high performance, results-driven mindset which is tied closely to employee and customer needs. Warren is passionate about helping organizations attain levels of success that seem out of reach, which makes him an ideal Chief Visionary Officer. His expertise routinely helps AOE clients achieve unprecedented performance by putting an emphasis on organizational talent. Specifically, he works with our clients to align strategic mindset with employee mindset—a critical aspect of promoting firm and employee success. He routinely uses the Organizational Well-Being Index® to measure mindset alignment. In addition, he has several other highly notable accomplishments:
  • Achieved positive ratings for Ulterra from Moody’s and Standard and Poor’s
  • Raised 92 million dollars for Ulterra based on those ratings
  • Successfully led United Diamond and Ulterra through a complex liquidity event while focusing on employee retention, morale, and performance
After successfully running and growing two global oil and gas companies, Warren decided to pursue his PhD in Business at Oklahoma State University. As a member of the inaugural class of the world’s first PhD in Business for Executives, he gained a deep understanding of business research – not only from his instructors, but also from his peers, all of whom are highly accomplished executives. He also holds an MBA from University of Alberta’s Institute of Corporate Directors. Warren’s thought leadership has been published by Excellence Essentials: Talent Management, and in the Proceedings of Engaged Management Society.
